As we drove from Killarney to Dingle, we stopped at beach near Inch.

For some reason, neither of us expected to see any wide sandy beaches.

Before lunch we walked down to the Dubeg Fort.

Over time, part of the fort has fallen into the bay. You can see that parts of teh cliffs have fallen in this picture.

This fort semed smaller and somehow less sophisticated than the fort we saw the day before.

The rings of defensive mounds tell me they had something to worry about.

The walls were very thick.

From the inside you could peer over the wall. With the back of the fort right up against the cliffs, there is a wide, open area in the front.
