Ephesus

Ephesus (Ancient Greek Ἔφεσος, Ephesos; Turkish Efes) is a couple of hours from Bodrum by road. While everything on our trip was a highlight, this was a special treat.

On the way from Bodrum to Ephesus, we stopped for morning tea. The shop sold olive oil and olives from the local area.

OUr first view of the ruins at Ephesus. The site has been occupied since before 6,000 BC. THe Greeks founded a sity here in the 10th century BC. Around 100 BC, the Romans became the rulers.
