This is the tower of the city hall in the main square.

The Church of Our Lady before Týn always impresses us. This church was built starting in the 14th century, but there were churches here before that.

The astronomical clock on city hall. Large groupls of people wait for the clok to sound every hour. We tend to wait in one of the cafes with a meal and a beveridge.

After the clock does its thing, the man with the trumpet circumnavigates the top of the tower blowing a tune.

On this trip--as you will see--we spent time looking up instead of just looking at the street level.

And everywhere we looked we found statues, crosses, and other symbols, sometimes overed in gold gilt.

The imposing Prague Castle (Pražský hrad) is an interesting place to visit.

This gate is at one end of a bridge over the Vlatava River and was just across the street from our hotel.
