The paths/roads are built this way to let water flow and to provide good footing for horses and donkeys--but not so good for people.

We walked down several streets and saw many gardens and courtyards hidden away.

The "streets" were often very narrow.

One must remember to look up while walking in the neighborhoods.

Green and orange were common colors. I would have to duck my head to get through these doors.

The doors, though old, looked sturdy.

Arched doorways were common, too. You may notice that not everything is is exactly square.

Interesting door. If you look closely, you will see that all of the metal is decorated.
