This is the little square in front of our apartment building in Seville.

Our balcony is the second one up.

We are a long way from the river, but maybe there was a fish market here once.

The same little, empty square filled up in the evening and night.

In one corner of the square there was a monument to Clara Campoamor

Clara Campoamor was one of the first women elected to the Spanish parliament in 1931.

She was ardent about helping Spanish women. So much so that she had to leave when the Fascists took over.

I saw many people taking pictures of the monument during our stay.

We took a bus tour of the city on our first day there. As you can see, it was bright and sunny at the end of September.

This is the ancient bull-fighting stadium. The Plaza de Toros de la Real Maestranza de Caballería de Sevilla was built in 1749.

The Torre del Oro (English: "Gold Tower") dates back to the 13th century.

The Palace of San Telmo (Spanish: Palacio de San Telmo) is a historical edifice in Seville, southern Spain, now the seat of the presidency of the Andalusian Autonomous Government. Construction of the building began in 1682 outside the walls of the city, on property belonging to the Tribunal of the Holy Office, the institution responsible for the Spanish Inquisition. It was originally constructed as the seat of the Seminary School of the University of Navigators (Colegio Seminario de la Universidad de Mareantes), a school of orphan children of sailors. There was a minor demonstration in front of the building.

Teatro Lope de Vega. We went to a great Flamenco performance here.

I wondered if trees like this were brought here from the New World.

Several building like this were built for an exhibition in the 1930s.
