We had a late tea and conversation at a small cafe in Stratonikeia.

We spent a couple of nights in Bodrum. This is the Bodrum (or St. Peter's) Castle. Much of its material came from a wonder of the ancient world: the Mausoleum.

This is a reconstruction of an ancient ship in the Museum of Underwater Archeology which is in Bodrum Castle.

We visited Milas and a small local museum. Milas was a Lydian city and has been occupied for a very long time.

This gate in Milas is about 2,300 years old and is now part of a local street.

This is the Gumuskesen Mausoleum. It was reportedly modeled (on a much smaller scale) from the original Mausoleum.
