Shiprock is another place where I will keep trying to get the "perfect" picture
We visited the Aztec ruins in Aztec. The ruins are of a large pueblo of people from the Southwest, not from the Aztec empire. "Azrec" is just the name of the place.

Note how well teh walls are constructed. At these sites I am never sure what is original and what has been re-constructed.
We have been staying at the Casa Blanca B&B in Farmington since before we moved to New Mexico. This time, we thought the quality had gone down.
The grounds at the Casa Blanca are very nice.

We get some pretty dramatic skies at home
In late May, we saw another full moon. There was still pleny of light in the sky at 8:00pm when the moon came up.
This looks like a robin standing on our wall, but it is not. It is, instead, a big bellied thrush.
This is kind of a neat framing of the moon by a tree across the street from our house.
I was able to capture lots of detail on the moon on May 29th.
In June, we spent a week in Albuquerque at Festival Flmenco de Albuquerque.
We had really good seats at the Festival's Rodey Theater site. This is Vanesa Coloma.

While we were in Albuquerque, we attended an exhibit about Leonardo daVinci. That, of course, is not the original Mona Lisa.
Part of the exhibit "deconstructed" the paining.
