We spent our 50th Anniversary at the Tamaya Resort, near Albuquerque.

The New Mexico Natural History museum has replaced its dinosaur skeleton with this animated T-Rex.
We have several Upton Ethelbah sculptures--but not this one. We saw this one at an opening at Manitou Galleriesin Santa Fe. Good shadows.

We drove from Salt Lake City to Santa Fe. This formation is near the edge of Red Canyon
It is very distracting to drive through Red Canyon because there is so much to see.

There is a really informative set of exhibits at the Canyons of the Ancients Visitor Center and Museum
This was found on Mockingbird Mesa, which is in the Canyons of the Ancients National Monument.
We also visited Mesa Verde on our drive. There are so many places to see.

Near the Chapin Mesa Archeological Museum at Mesa Verde. One can no longer walk through the ruins here, which was a disappointment, but is understandable.

There was a fire at Mesa Verde. This, I believe, is from the Bircher Fire in 2000. You can see how long it takes to recover.

We stayed at Canyon Crest Lodge near Pagosa Springs. There weren't many other visitors.
