This sunset on July 6th looks like there is a fire in the sky, but there was not.
While we were in Albuquerque for the Flamenco Festival, we attended our first New Mexico United match. This was actually the first time we had been in a crowd of any sort since March of 2020. Not enough masks were in evidence.
The Festival Flamenco Albuquerque was different this year: all the artists resided in the United States. It was impossible to get visas for the artists who live in Spain. The 5-night festival was great.
While in Albuquerque, we visited the Botanic Garden at the Abq BioPark.
We took lots of pictures at the botanic garden.
If I had been wise, I would have looked for plant labels so I could tell you what kind of plant this is.
We went to 3 evening performances at the tablao after the "big stage" performances at the NHCC (National Hispanic Cultural Center).
We also saw colorful flowers while wandering around in Albuquerque's Old Town.

A fin de fiesta (end of the party) at the tablao. The tablao performances ended late at night (or early in the morning, depending on your viewpoint) so it was good we stayed in the same hotel.
This August rainbow seemed to start right across the street from our house.
Mammatus Clouds hang below the cloud base and are caused by sinking cold air.

This biplane flew over our house for several days in a row. Sometimes it waggled its wings for Patricia.
The August full moon as observed from our house. I don't have a picture of the July full moon this year. We were on Bainbridge Island at the time and could not see the moon.
I took a picture of the hearts laid out on the background so Patricia did not have to pin all the pieces. The picture was nice on its own.
I captured this sunrise on September 1st while on my morning walk. The end of the North American Rockies can be seen as they trail off.
It was still bright when I took this picture of the moon in September but the camera still captured a good bit of detail.
We visited Belvidere in September. We were there to remember my mother, who died in November, 2020. The setting is the dam across the Kishwaukee River in Belvidere park.
While in Illinois we visited the Anderson Japanese Gardens in Rockford.
