Sintra is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
It is hard to imagine how this Moorish castle could be attacked.
We toured the Pena Palace (Palácio dos Pena).
There have been buildings on this site for a very long time. This restoration dates back to the 19th century.

There isn't much of a harbor near Sintra and the Pena Palace.
This was a summer home for the royal family.
The red color is associated with the new part of the palace and yellow with the old.

The chapel is the oldest part of the palace complex, but I don't know how old the glass is.
A lot of work went into the ceiling. We have seen designs like this in the Alhambra in Granada.
