Elaborate altar against the elaborate ceiling.

Otherwise known as the "mushroom"

Against a blue sky, the mushroom is attention-grabbing.

In this picture, it looks like the mushroom is coming in for a landing on the city streets.

Roman ruins were found under Plaza Encarnación when plaza became the home of a new mercado and the "seta" (mushroom)

We climbed (well, we actually took an elevator) to the top where there is a lookout. Major points of interest are identified.

Churches everywhere

The single pylon for the Alamillo bridge over the Guadalquivir. It was built for the world exhibition in Seville in 1992.

I believe the building in the background is the church of the Annunciation, which is now a museum and, I think, part of the University of Seville/

I've seen this kind of shrimp before and I'm still not tempted.

I don't know if there is supposed to be something in the shells or not, but it is a nice display.

These fish are very small. I wonder if they are cooked whole.
