This was once the road that led to the temple. No one is allowed to get down to the road now.
We visited the theatre at Miletus on our way to Priene.
There are other excavations here, but we were only able to learn a little about the theatre and spend a little time exploring it.

Probably from a local story
Priene was an Ionian city. It was home to 4 or 5,000 people. What we saw was very well preserved. It is close to the Meander river and Alexander was here to supervise teh move from the old city to this planned city.
