The academy apears to be old, probably because of the architecture, but it only dates back to the 1970s.
It seems that they train not only horses, but riders also.
Caballo que puede bailar flamenco. (El sistema de sonido estaba tocando música flamenca.) This horse was "dancing" to flamenco music. You can see from the expressions on people's faces that they enjoyed the show.
Pictures were forbidden (in about 7 languages) so I had to sneak the ones I took.
Emelio Ochando y compañía en Sala Compañía. This was a high-energy show!
Plaza Esteve. Las luces se ven como la luna en la niebla. From Plaza Esteve. I thought the lights and the moon looked similar in the fog.

A sculpture at Plaza Mamelón. They skies were grey most of the time we were in Jerez, which I am using as an excuse for some of the pictures. We walked past this plaza at least 2 times a day and often 5 or 6 times.

This gentleman was at every performance at Gonzalez Byass handing out free glasses of sherry.
Eduardo Guerrero was justifiably pleased at the end of his performance of Faro.
He could really dance.
Lunchtime snack of pizza, hot chocolate, and capuchino at a cafeteria on Calle Largo
The performance by Santiago Lara (La Guitarra en el Tiempo / the guitar in its time) traced the history of flamenco guitar by illustrating the stiles of some of the masters of the 20th century. It was great.
The last performance we saw in Jerez at the Teatro Villamarta was Andrés Peña & Pilar Ogalla in La Tournée. Not an exciting show, but still good.
