The academy apears to be old, probably because of the architecture, but it only dates back to the 1970s.

Caballo que puede bailar flamenco. (El sistema de sonido estaba tocando música flamenca.) This horse was "dancing" to flamenco music. You can see from the expressions on people's faces that they enjoyed the show.

This show was different. There was a lot of talking and and small skits and not too much flamenco. I would have liked it better if I understood more of the Spanish. DAVID PALOMAR, RIKI RIVERA, EL JUNCO Y ROBERTO JAÉN / ¿QUÉ PASARÍA SI PASARA?

A sculpture at Plaza Mamelón. They skies were grey most of the time we were in Jerez, which I am using as an excuse for some of the pictures. We walked past this plaza at least 2 times a day and often 5 or 6 times.

The performance by Santiago Lara (La Guitarra en el Tiempo / the guitar in its time) traced the history of flamenco guitar by illustrating the stiles of some of the masters of the 20th century. It was great.

The last performance we saw in Jerez at the Teatro Villamarta was Andrés Peña & Pilar Ogalla in La Tournée. Not an exciting show, but still good.
