The Royal Gardens of the Alcazar from our kitchen window.

There were at least 10 peafowl in the gardens.

They strutted their stuff all day long.

I am always facinatied by this sculpture in the Catedral. This time, I tried to capture the various shadows. Juan Martínez Montañés and Francisco Pacheco, Christ of Clemency, c. 1603–05, polychromed wood (Seville Cathedral)

Natural and artificial light

Esta piso es plano. This floor is flat, but nearly everyone walks as if they are stepping from block to block. It is a wonderful illusion.

The columns are massive

Backlit (perhaps by too much) by the stained glass window.

Santa Justa and Santa Rufina, patrons of Seville, with La Giralda between. Although this was was created in 1686, you can still see the same angel on the top of the tower today.

No me di cuenta de lo grande que era esta monstrance (o custodia) hasta que vi a una persona cerca de ella. I had walked by this monstrance several times in past years but did not realize how large it was until I saw a person next to it.
