In early July the combination of the Wallow fire and the Las Conchas fire colored the sky most evenings.
The camera does its best, but we could not capture the dirty grey color of the sky with the bright red-orange color of the sun.
We were in Phoenix for a couple of days to see Tevya and Noah and to meet Joe. We all took Noah to a play area where he showed us his skills at climbing rope…

Noah is good a whacking things really hard. His aim needs some work though. But it is the whacking that is the most fun.

We all went to breakfast and Noah was pretty well behaved.
We got back on the evening of the July 4th to flames coming over the hills a few miles west of us.
But there were also fireworks because it was Patricia's birthday. These fireworks were about 7 miles from us.
