In April we went on a SAR trip to Hopi. On the way, we stopped at the famous Hubbell trading post in Arizona.

We saw a demonstration of silver-work.
We went off the beaten path to see some petroglyphs.
Look carefully for the spiral
There are petroglyphs on the standing rock on the right.
Pottery sherds/shards. I was struck by how thick the pottery was.

We saw a basket-making demonstration. We ended up buying the beautiful basket.
We saw a pottery making exhibit, too.
And a very nice deomonstration of glass blowing.

It's April--why is there snow?
Claire likes visiting the Children's Discovery Museum in Las Vegas.
