Just after the 4th of July we went to Buffalo Wyoming for "Longmire Days."
Craig Johnson, the author of the Longmire books lives nearby and actors from the TV series make appearances over the course of several days.
Buffalo, WY is a town with a polulation of of about 5,000. Longmire days is a big deal here.

There is a parade and here are people getting ready for it. The Busy Bee café in the background features in the books.

After Wyoming, we drove to Belvidere to visit my parents.
Near the end of July, we picked up Abigail in Las Vegas and brought her back to Santa Fe. On the way, we stopped at the Petrified Forest.

While in Santa Fe, Abbgail got a lesson in how to work with a fan (un abanico) from Estefania Ramirez.
