April May June

We took Abby to London and we spent a week at the flamenco festival in Albuquerque
With the hearts sewn in (0402/2022)
While in Albuquerque in early April we went to a "Van Gogh immersive" exhibit in the Sawmill district.
The exhibit was full of moving images, background, and "features" to invoke a feeling of Van Gogh's pictures. It was very different from the Van Gogh art museum…
The exhibit space was large . As you can see, people settled in to watch teh images.
Some of what we saw was very clever.
We took Abby to London for a quick overview. Here she is at the Las Vegas airport as we waited to board.

We visited Stonehenge. Our guide, Peter, drove us around all day.
Abby at Heathrow airport getting ready to fly back to Las Vegas. We were able to get nonstop flights in both directions. She was a great traveller.

Reddish afternoon light on some of the art in our dining room. (04/29/2022)
What would turn out to be New Mexico's largest forest fire was not too far from us on the other side of the Sangre de Christo mountains.
Hermit Peak - Calf Canyon fire
WE saw clouds of smoke for several weeks.
And, for several weeks we saw helicopters with buckets fly over our hose going back and forth to the fire.
I wondered how they could land and take off with the bucket attached.

We drove all the way down to Bernalillo to a new restaurant which got rave reviews. (05/12/2022)
The food was great and we looked forward to going back--but the restaurant closed quickly.
