Multiple layers of the Basilica di San Lorenzo at night. This church was directly across from our hotel, in the middle of the market district.
Galleria dell'Accademia di Firenze exhibits the largest number of Michelangelo's sculptures in the world. We were both happy to be here.
One of the main attractions is, of course, Michelangelo's David.
This part of the gallery was purpose built for the David.
It was a treat to see the original statue.
Some background on the David.

There was a room absolutely full of the work of Lorenzo Bartolini. It was somewhat overwhelming.
