We have a resident butterfly
And a resident lizard.
The cactus is flowering all around. This cactus is just off our nearby path.

This moth comes in the evenings. It is about 6 inches across. We think it is a five-spottend hawkmoth. Hawkmoth info
The base of the Civil War Soldier's memorial in the Plaza
This 33-foot obelisk tops the memorial. It was dedicated in 1868.
We went to the "Pancakes on the Plaza" celebration on the 4th.
The Gulf States Air National Guard band provided some early music.
Kids can eat pancakes too.
There were costumes.
