Although I know only a little bit about construction techniques, I was impressed with the quality that I saw here. You can see that at least some of the buildings had multiple levels It looks to me as if the levels were separated/suppored by large beams. Where did the wood come from? I understand that the climate in Chaco a 1000 years ago was much like it is now. This pueblo had quite a view Some of the walls are about 4 feet thick I wonder if the buildings blended in when people lived here? We heard lots of birds, but this is one of the few we saw.
