Ephesus (Ancient Greek Ἔφεσος, Ephesos; Turkish Efes) is a couple of hours from Bodrum by road. While everything on our trip was a highlight, this was a special treat.
On the way from Bodrum to Ephesus, we stopped for morning tea. The shop sold olive oil and olives from the local area.

Our stop was along the shores of Lake Bafa (Bafa Gölü) which is landlocked today, but was once connected to the Aegean.

There are so many pieces to this giant jigsaw puzzle that I don't know how they put it together.
