Our Fall 2010 vacation began with a stay in Istanbul
There were roasted corn vendors (the corn is dipped into various sauces) in many locations on this Sunday afternoon.
Just down the street from our hotel in the Sultanahmet district was a nice park.

The "Walled Obelisk" was built in the 10 century and was originally covered with bronze plaques. This is at one end of teh Hippodrome.
We could not keep our eyes off this mosque.
